Joshua Howes was my great, great, great grandfather and a sea captain on Cape Cod. He left behind a fascinating memoir detailing his childhood and his travels to Peru and other foreign destinations. I am annotating the manuscript and laying out the text with a view to publishing the memoir in a handsome volume.
