Introducing Collections
I'm a big fan of the New York Times game, Connections, where players try to sort 16 words into four thematic groups, from yellow (easiest or more literal) to purple (hardest or most abstract). At some point, I learned that the most accomplished players try to go for the reverse rainbow, or wobniar, in the community's parlance. That means solving purple first, then blue, then green, then yellow last. It's a fun challenge.
To make it easier on myself, I used to copy and paste the words into a text editor, then move them around by cutting and pasting individual words until I found the groups. At the time of writing, I've won 95% of games I've played, with 180 "purple first" and 305 perfect puzzles out of 436. Now, with a little bit of vibe coding, I've moved on from my text editor to a tool that pulls in the days words and lets me rearrange them with some nice drag & drop functionality. I call it Collections, and invite you to use it, too.
